well, I've found out some hong kong companies have no idea about seo or search marketing. they have some information on their web sites but they have no idea what they are talking about. One example is I saw an ad about a web hosting company on a local pc magazine that offer SEO services. It sounds they have a bit of a research about why search engine marketing ok so i decided use my father's company domain to test their real seo stuff.

I; "i'm interested in your seo service. we're an apparel company and have an undeveloped web site. I understand seo would increase my web site visibility on search engine, just want to ask, how you guys going to implement the services?"

some of the stuffs I've jsut make it up but I did email them and enquiries about their services. There are too many people around just pretending they have these kind of services but have no idea how to really achieve it? Hong kong is really sucks for SEO, people often pretend having a cutting edge service but they don't in reality. They think they write something like that and would attract business.
They in fact just gave me an example bottleandmug.net. well, the website have 1.) no content 2.) little links on yahoo and google. 3.) web design not search engine friendly and they've charged this guy US$700. well, to me it's quite crazy. if I were the boss of that website, i am crying! beacuse the industry was not competitive, in terms of seo.

I have a friend that uses yellow pages hong kong (i.e. a subsidiary of pccw ims hong kong ) hosting and find out, they have frames on the web page, and never got google indexed their web site in last 7 years! why? because search engine doesn't like frames.
They read and incorrectly index frames pages and at the end of the day, your web site will be a messed to search engine, so don't rank well on google. Therefore, if you want your website to rank well on search engine, don't use frame otherwise your web site will be buried under no where!!

I am very happy that some of my keywords on my website ranks quite well on google.com like affordable hosting hong kong (1st page), affordable web hosting asia (#1 on google.com), affordable hosting singapore, 2nd page, affordable hosting malaysia #1, and many more.
well, this is not coincidence, it is all my hard work paid. As the owner of the site, I am very pleased some methods that I learned really works on SEO. well it is just to good to be true! one more thing, I found out this morning about some web hosting companies in the US, actually got the keyword, "hosting" rank on the first page on google. (outs of 300 Million results!!!!) how's amazing they did a job like that in just few years time!!

After all the initial registration, I accessed the website.
When I logged in, they gave me a program to download so I did. But what I was looking for wasn't there! Therefore I opened up the program that I'd just downloaded and tried to search the piece of software I was looking for in their built in search function. As I waited for the result, I began to see a bunch of cracks files or crack codes related to that software on different computers. What does that mean? It means it is a file sharing software. It doesn't really provide the software, you may say it is a member site that allow access to others members computer for file sharing. To me it is a scam. Because they don't provide information on they don't actually provide the software but you can find it on their members' computers! But how they can force their members not to share programs that are not owned by their members? It is same sort of controversy back to days of the favorite MP3 sharing website called Napster.
Thus don't join this kind of website, personally I think they are rubbish and completely waste of money.
Step 5: Don't use BT or Bit torrent (for those of you don't know what it is, don't worry about it. Just skip to step 6. For those who know please read on.
BT generally is a good idea because it saves time to download a big file when internet connections are slow. However, some people out there is abusing the software. They used it for for illegal purposes such as copyright infringed mp3, computer software, movies sharing and so on.

But you never know what pieces of software are bundled in these zips or rars files. It may be computer viruses, trojan horses or a key logger which basically can log everything you typed on your keyword and then send a report to their owners or people who let your download their software or media. Which means your password, username and other personal information may be revealed to another person that you don't know. Therefore, next time when you see a BT site, stay away from it. (Unless it is some well established site like Open Office (software like MS office or World of War Craft, online massive multi-players role playing games)

Don't ever never try to find crack of some popular software like WinZip, WinRAR, Dreamweaver, Norton Anti-virus and so on and so forth. Why? Because, again you never know what is the file downloaded contains virus or trojan horse or keylogger.

today I want to share you something about "google sand box". what it is, is a filter to stop garbage web site rank too fast in google and eventually makes google garbage. This another words is an abuse on search engines.
eventually all new web site (domain registered prior to year 2004 doesn't imply to this sandbox filter) will encounter this filter sometimes in their life! may be six months to a year. But some experts, (text-link-ads) said there are methods to cut those sand box period by having some trusted social networking site linking on your site continuously.... to be continued

Biggest fraud in eBay
News headline today, $650K fraud found in eBay the biggest auction site around the world. The thieves are arrested in Hong Kong (believed to be Hong Kong Citizens, hk.yahoo.com) and 10,000 were cheated against these fraud.
Well, to me, buying things from auction site like ebay or yahoo or any others
buyers just have to be careful. Ask before you bid. But for this circumstances, those people actually did ship goods in the first place to gain the trust of the community.
In this case, I think it is hard to protect the buyers. But does it stop people from shopping on-line? I guess not. why? you may ask. those people can do same tricks if they open a shop on a main street, sell real goods to the community. Once people gain trust on them and they replace those genuine goods with fake ones. Once they have cheated enough amount of money, they can escape before the buyers notice those products are fake!!
This is just a case happened in daily life!

My 2-hosts.com finally got google listed!
After some hard works, link exchange and stuffs, my 2-hosts.com is finally got google listed on its search engine!
I mean this is a first step. I have read some articles about getting google listed in 48 hours and so on. Well the ideas they are telling basically one has to find some sites (notice the 's') whose Page Rank are greater than 6 or 7, then you ask for link exchange. Since their web sites are already listed in google and have high link popularity (i.e. a lot of websites link to their websites e.g.en.wikipedia.org, PR =9 !!) and thus if one can get them to link to one's new site then, the new site will be listed in google in 48 hours. Well of course it is not just one web site, but a lot!!

web hosting, how do you a find trust worthy and yet affordable host?
To me , they should provide all features that they claimed in their web site at least.
Be honest to their customers about network outage they have. network 99.99% uptime? Can it be true? well, to me it's hard, 99% network uptime probably more reasonable. When I worked for a local ISP as a support engineer, i know there is always a problem about network. Either our tier 1 provider or client's end circuit. well, I mean to customer 99.99% may not seem the case for them. So to play safe, I won't advertise 99.99% uptime instead 99% in my web site.
